My housemate for so many years, Terry Zamoiski. I once pointed out to Terry a passage I read in "Doomsday 1918" where in a month (March 1917) that Alexandra and her five children found themselves alone, with not one friend coming to their aid, one certain Count Zamoiski, walked from St. Petersburg to Tsarskoye Selo in the bitter Russian winter to assure her that she was not forgotten. Count Zamoiski didn't make it out alive; neither did Alix and her five children. Hopefully, we will never be that alone.
