I feel so badly; my sister, du Barry, has returned to our beloved Newport and is getting ready to lead a serious life and I am down here carrying on about the most shallow things in the world. Two years ago, Peter's White Party to benefit Aids was held not at the usual Mrs. Astor's Beechwood, but the rather more baroque Belcourt Castle. As they arrived, guests were greated by liveried gentlemen. du Barry works tirelessly raising money for charities and entertaining shallow people like myself. God bless her, and I miss her.
