I assumed it was satire of how the right wing is trying to make Obama look. No?
It certainly was and I read the long-winded article. The point is that the image panders to the very people it disdains and is way beneath a publication like that.
All the pundits have weighed in and the consensus is that RedState!America wouldn't know satire if it hit them on the head. They will only see this cover as a flag to wave for the next several months until the election.
