Scottie's Sunday choice for Gay 101 film classics this week is the viscous 1939 George Cukor movie of back-biting intrigue, The Women. It should be well-attended if only because anyone who doesn't go will be the object of horrendous gossip. So that's on Sunday, upstairs, at 10 PM.
Intrigue is always nipping at one's heels in a palace; that along with plotting, poison rings, and positioning. The word is out that Leopold has a gay, twin brother and the massive movement of The Court to be the first introduced has begun. Poor Leo; his brother--like himself before meeting me--doesn't even go out, let alone getting involved with the machinations of this Court. But, still, the maneuvering is going on: gentle hints are dropped, wigs are powdered to the extreme in hope of meeting him, and beauty marks are suddenly appearing.
Leopold is safely under my protective wing (more like a wing of a B-52 than a dove), but the brother is in distinct danger. Jeremy, come quickly; we need you.

We will have to head out to "Sydney's Salon" to prepare and call the girls from "Double Bar T Ranch" to pull out their ADRIAN gowns for the showing....but with this crowd, Little Mary will have to stay home.
Just remember: "Where I spit no grass grows ever!"
One of my favorite movies evah! Now you girls behave yourselves and don't gossip too much about anyone who is absent.
As Crystal says, "There is a name for you, ladies, but it isn't used in high society... outside of a kennel."
