Every month Walter Mercado films his TV spots here at The Club; he will shoot an entire month's episodes over the course of two days. I think they like filming here because we have so many chandeliers. Walter is a psychic with a fondness for Liberace costumes; he is wildly popular with the Latinos and is actually a sweet guy. Last month he let me try on one of his yellow satin capes; I felt fabulous.

I was on the floor with this entry. Firstly, beacause I can't believe you know Walter: that's awesome! Secondly, Pagesixsixsix's comment about "Chango" was too much. YOu girls are fab!. I think I wet my panties!
*Squeals* Oh my goodness. I haven't been in my hometown in years and I hadn't thought about Walter Mercado in ages until I saw this post. He is fabulous. I envy that you got try on his cape!
I should have added that the yellow satin cape went with a matching canary yellow suit. But the most important aspect here is that Walter--for all the capes and jewels--is so gentle and sweet; he always goes out of his way to come over and greet everyone and, most importantly, treats his staff with great respect. I always thought he was a loon; I was wrong.
